Off To Arizona

Woke up at five in the morning to get ready for the plane. The ride there was pretty quiet, and soon I was at the airport ready to leave. My mom, Nathan, and I said our goodbyes and then I went to sit down. I was the last person on the standby list to be called- I'm glad I got on. The flight wasn't that great because I couldn't sleep and I hadn't taken anything with me because I thought I'd be able to. Finally I arrived in Salt Lake City and almost froze my butt off- 54 degrees Fahrenheit. From there I went to wait at the Phoenix gate where I got some texts from my Dad that nearly made me cry (in a good way.) Then I had to get on the plane- this time I brought my drawing pad- and sat down. I was glad to get a window seat this time.

As I was drawing there was a guy in the aisle across from me, and he saw me drawing. He told me I was really good, to which I replied thanks. Then he proceeded to ask me how much it would cost for me to do a commission, and then told me he'd send me 4-5 pictures. At $40 a picture, that's not too bad. Although my art teacher did tell me I need to stop under-pricing. Apparently art is supposed to be expensive or something. :P

After that my Uncle Scott dropped me off at my Aunt Jer's office and we went and did a few errands, including going to register me at school. This was pretty easy- I should be checked in and at school on Monday. I won't know my schedule until then.

Moving to Arizona wasn't the easiest thing I've ever done- but it is making me feel very grateful. I'm so glad to have wonderful parents that will support me when I make a decision, even if they don't necessarily agree with it. I love them very much- a lot more than I think they know. I know it's hard for them letting go of me, but I want them to know that I will still always want them in my life. How else am I going to teach my future children how to exercise and cook? :D

I'm also very grateful for my art. It's really great when I can get money to do it, because it's relatively easy for me to do and pretty therapeutic. How great is that? I can't wait to get into college where I'll be able to learn even more about art, and take it in a direction that will help benefit people.
