School Time

Life is undoubtedly crazy lately, what with starting at a new school. My schedule is:
  1. Econ/History
  2. Painting
  3. Seminary
  4. Math Applications
  5. Choir
  6. English 12

It's weird having the same classes everyday, whether they're shorter or not. I kind of miss the variety of the block schedule.

Moving to Phoenix has definitely given me a bit of a culture shock. I know we're still technically in America, but Saint George Utah and Phoenix Arizona are very different. It's weird being at a school where the major religion isn't neccessarily LDS, and where I stand out for being so. I'm not complaining. I like it. I think Utah Mormons take a lot for granted due to where they live, and they don't have to stand up for their beliefs nearly as much. It's a sad thing, in a way.

I've made a few friends already- two of them want me to join the swim team with them. Part of me thinks that's insane. Me? Sports? But the other part thinks, 'Oh, I like swimming. And why not do at least ONE sport in highschool?' Who knows. I guess it would help me work on the determination/focus issues I have. That's if I lived through the first practice without getting a fatal asthma attack of course. :P

Another friend is trying to "bring me to the Light" by getting me to like country music. This is probably the least likely. There's just something about most country that bothers me. It really grates on my musical nerves. I'm just more of a Rock n' Roll person, I guess. :)

Now. If only they had fencing here.

Oh Ann, you are truly missing out by not loving country music. With me listening to it in the car all the time, I am sure you will be converted in no time! :)
