I'm pretty happy today... I found out that (finally) our school is having a semi-formal dance and I convinced my boyfriend Trevor and another couple who are friends of mine to go. I'm really hoping it doesn't get cancelled. I don't think it should be because despite it being semi-formal it's Sadies, and no offense but girls just generally plan more ahead than guys do. What's nice is it's on Valentine's Day so it makes it easier on the guys- they don't have to plan a romantic date, it's already laid out for them, haha.
Oh, so I lost the choral part due to outside circumstances, but got another "special" part playing the some of the handbells for one of our pieces. I'm one of the few people who can read music fluently in there (being in band for so long previously) that I think that helped. I'm kinda excited about it, the bells sound really pretty and it's a pretty part. I just hope I don't mess up. :)
On a sadder note, I did find out that the scholarship I had been offered was virtually useless... Because they counted me as a non-resident my tution was about double what I would be paying as an in-state resident, so I'd still be paying more out of pocket. Unfortunately if I switched to resident, I'd lose the scholarship. Losing that big opportunity kind of made me rethink about where I'm going to college and look at a few other options, but I'm nowhere near sure what I'm doing... It's a bit stressful to say the least.
Last post I mentioned going to visit "family", but I didn't say where. Well I went to visit my grandparents and Dad's side of the family in Virginia Beach for the weekend. It was really nice seeing everyone there and being able to interact with people I haven't seen in so long... It was pretty cold there, but other than that there aren't any complaints. I loved visiting the beach, and definitely loved the family dinner. I think a love for Italian food runs in the Weidman line- even though we're all Irish, German and Polish, haha.
Then this last weekend I went to Disneyland with my Aunt Jer, Uncle Thomas, Hayden, and my distant cousins Ariyona and Taylor. We all had a wonderful time I think, even though a few of us got injured and sick. I don't know what it is, but you just have to be happy there. The two days we were there were rainy (Sunny California, huh?), but we just pulled out our ponchos and went on the rides- it was a blast. There weren't a lot of people there due to the weather and season so we got to ride almost everything. I was glad for the chance to get closer to Tay and Ariyona since I don't see them that often around school and such. The last day of our trip we stopped by Newport Beach- I can't tell you how much I love the Pacific Ocean, but that definitely was amazing. I always feel at home listening to the waves there. It was almost as good as getting a massage. :D I think it's funny how rooted I feel there, even though that's not really where I grew up. It was definitely an awesome trip and I was definitely glad I was included.
-sigh- The wind is pretty loud outside. It's been rainy and windy and cold here too. I think it's following me. I'm tired of the moody weather. I'd rather be somewhere warm and sunny- you know, like Phoenix is supposed to be. :P I'm so just ready for summer. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I look like a ghost whenever I'm next to Trevor. :/ I definitely need to go tanning....
Well, this is pretty long... I think I'll stop here for now, I still have to go take a shower and head off to bed... Drop me a text sometime, I'd probably love to hear from you (unless it's about money). :D
P.S. On second thought you can text me about money if you want to donate to my college fund. Also known as charity. I'm not sure if that's tax-deductible, but I'll look into it.

Thanks for the update - glad you had a great time at both places. Don't stress too much about the future, it'll all come together.
