Happy Birthday to Me

Yes, I am so important that Google changes just for my birthday :P

               All in all it was a good day. I went out with Amanda and Johnathan to dinner (Costa Vida, 'cause even still I'm a little obsessed), and then played pool. It was really sweet of them to come and take me out and I appreciated it since both Alayna and Courtney were really sick. :/

             As for turning 23.... there are so many different ways that I thought my life would be different than what it is now. When I was in middle school I would have told you that I would be married by now (ha! threw that away this year!), done with my bachelors degree, and starting a family. And still Mormon. ((double ha! (sorry, family))

           It's funny how life changes, how things don't go according to plan, and how things we want change as well. That's been one of the most constant lessons in my life, and quite probably the one I hate the most. I love to plan. I live off plans. Granted, I am not always great at the follow through. But that's life...

         So goodbye, 22. There was a lot of heart break in your time. You faced trauma and you made mistakes and you lost loved ones and you let people go. But things are going to get better. Just not always on your timeline. Because while yes, having your bachelor's degree would be nice, you just aren't ready for marriage or family at twenty three. You still have a lot to work on by yourself. But you're making every year count as best you can.
