Christmas Season

I forget how crazy the Christmas season is in retail.
 Anyone want to trade jobs?

I go from work to bed lately.
I don't even have time for Trevor.

Or errands.
Not that I would rush to do them if I did.

It wouldn't be that bad if we didn't have one of our departments main workers in a leg brace and unable to work.

And if they didn't cram sales on top of sales.

You'd be surprised how much work goes into getting all of the sale merchandise together.

I feel bad for all the trees killed due to sale merchandise paperwork.

And as much as I love Christmas Hymns, I hate Christmas Songs. If I have to hear "I'll Be Home For Christmas" or "Baby, It's Cold Outside" one more time, I might scream. Did you know there are four different versions of each on our track?

Also a shopper hint: If you are stressed out and yelling at the cashier or store clerk, you don't get what you want. You get a stressed out cashier and store clerk who doesn't appreciate your lack of Christmas Spirit.

As far as work is concerned, I miss February through August.

But don't worry.

As much as I complain sometimes, I know that I am blessed.

I have a job and good hours.

I have a roof over my head and food in the fridge.
And Christmas presents waiting for me under the tree. : D

I have family that love me and are concerned about me, and give me a lot more than I deserve sometimes.

I have a wonderful boyfriend of over two years, whose family is absolutely amazing and caring.

I can walk, talk, see, and hear without major problems.
As long as I have my glasses. :)

I have a Highschool Degree and a car that's almost paid off.

I live in a country that does it's best to help it's people reach their potential, and help those that are in need.
For those of you that don't agree, look around. There are low-income and charitable programs everywhere.

I have a God that cares about me, knows my heart and needs, and provides me with the best guidance I could hope for.
And I have amazing outlets like this blog to share what I love with the people I love and care about.

So as much as retail is trying to crush my Christmas Spirit, it won't.

Because I am blessed.
And it started here.

Love it! And, by the way, there are presents under the tree here for you, too! :-)
