Charity and Health

I have struggled with trying to figure out what to write. Things have been a little tough lately with my health and consequently finances as well. I have had thyroid problems that are not quite figured out as of yet, passed out many times for once again unknown reasons. But that's not what I wanted to write about.

What I do want to write about, like my wonderful aunt did before me, is the wonderful people that helped when it was very hard to help myself.

Trevor, firstly. He has been there through everything, helped me out whenever possible, even when it was way more than he was obligated to. I don't know where I would be without him the past four and a half years. Every moment spent with him has made me grow, and I will always be grateful for that no matter what happens.

Alayna. She moved in knowing everything about me and that living with me wouldn't exactly be easy. She has been by my side with all the health problems, learned more medical terms than she ever wanted to, and carried the financial burden when I no longer could. She will always be my very  best friend.

My mom. We haven't exactly had the most easy past, but I feel like lately we've gone from just being mother/daughter to also being friends on a more adult level and I love that. She and my Dad have helped me so much, even at the cost of themselves.

My aunt Jer. Even though she has had such a rough past two years, I have found such inspiration in her stories both talking to her and reading her blog. She has made me want to push on when things were hard in ways that I couldn't have before. Her and my Uncle Thomas are people I always feel I can go to.

My friend Amanda. She constantly asks for updates, even kidnaps me so I can get out of the house and go to movies, brings me flowers, offered me a place to stay when things were rough. Of all the people I have met in Arizona, she is one that I hold very dear.

My old coworkers from Steinmart and World Market. Jayne, who brought by a huge bag full of groceries. Debbie, who offered me a place to stay and play dates for Charlie. Laury, who has brought by picnic lunches and talked. Shannon, who is my neighbor as well, and has cooked me broccoli cheddar soup, has offered me job leads, and offered help with anything I need.

All of these wonderful people have helped me in such enormous ways. I have been stunned at how many people there have been, even though my life in Arizona has been fairly quiet. There are good people everywhere that will care for one another, and as someone who has a hard time feeling wanted or loved, that is absolutely amazing.
