I seriously do not think that I've met anyone more in love with trees, plants, flowers, water, clouds, or the sun than Courtney. I've learned so much from just watching how she appreciates every little, tiny detail no matter where she is, even if it's just the current lighting or the way the grass is bending. She finds beauty in everything and can poetically tell you just exactly why it is so pretty.
Because of this, Alayna and I decided to take her on a surprise road trip up to Oak Creek Canyon. (We were also missing the mountain feel that we had been used to in Utah). We had so much fun talking during the three hour drive and singing to The Veronicas and Taylor Swift.
Everything was gorgeous. We weren't able to spend much time hiking around because both Courtney and I aren't that physically able, but it was still wonderful to get out of the desert and enjoy the mountain scenery and air. Alayna and I were joking that we can continue living in Arizona just a little longer now that we have a pretty place to hide from it's politics. Courtney was in love with the sunflowers and the pretty river, but ended up finding out she was allergic to grass and had to switch into jeans and take a lot of Benadryll.
We're definitely going to have to plan a longer trip next time!
